This Privacy Policy explains how ShopBy Brands ("the app", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when a merchant installs the app on their Shopify store, and when a shopper visits the storefront pages the app publishes.

Information we collect

When a merchant installs ShopBy Brands, we collect and store:

• Shop information — your store's domain, name, email, timezone, currency, country, and Shopify plan, obtained via the Shopify Admin API after you approve the app's requested permissions.
• Access token — an OAuth access token issued by Shopify, used to make API calls to your store on your behalf. It is stored securely and never shared with third parties.
• App data you create — brand names, descriptions, logos, banners, sort order, and the product-to-brand assignments you set up inside the app. This is stored in our database and, for brand records, as Shopify metaobjects on your store.
• Settings — display preferences such as page headings, button labels, colors, and layout choices you configure in the app.

We do not collect payment card details — billing for paid plans is handled entirely by Shopify's Billing API.

Shopper data on storefront pages

The public brand list and brand detail pages the app publishes to your storefront display product and brand information only. The app does not set tracking cookies, does not collect personal information from shoppers, and does not sell or share shopper data with any third party.

How we use information

• To operate the core features of the app — creating brands, assigning products, and rendering your storefront brand pages.
• To keep your app settings and billing plan in sync with Shopify.
• To provide customer support when you contact us.
• To comply with Shopify's API and app requirements.

Data retention and deletion

If you uninstall ShopBy Brands, Shopify notifies us via a webhook and we delete your shop's stored access token and app data within a reasonable time, in line with Shopify's data protection requirements. Some records may be retained briefly for legal or fraud-prevention purposes before final deletion.

Third parties

We use Shopify's own APIs (Admin GraphQL API, Billing API, Metaobjects) to operate the app. We do not sell your data or your customers' data to advertisers or data brokers. The app is hosted on infrastructure we control and manage.

Your rights

You can request a copy of, or the deletion of, the data we hold about your store at any time by contacting us at the email below. Uninstalling the app also removes access on our side, as described above.
